RACING AT SOUTHLAND CIRCULATION THE BIG EVENT. Electric Telegrapfi—Press Association INVERCARGILL, Last Night. The Southland Racing Club’s summer meeting concluded in fine weather though there was a temporary squall at mid-day. The attendance was good and the track in excellent order. The tote handled £23,484 as against £27,095 on the second day last year, making the total for the meeting £51,085 as compared with £52,046 10s last year. Remaining results: Shorts Handicap: 6 Bugle Note 1, 7 Bright Mark 2, 5 Eaton Bells 3. AYon by a head, half a length. Time 1.14 1-6.
Summer Handicap: 2 Battle Colours 1, 8 Paris '2, 12 Red Fray 3. Won by two lengths, with three lengths separating second and third. Time 1.31. Southland Handicap: 1 Circulation 1, 4 Vaword 2, 3 Pink Terrace 3. Won by two and a half lengths, with a neck separating second and third. Time 2.10 2-5.
Rosedaje Handicap: 2 Spean Bridge 1, 8 King Etilboa 2, 1 Black Drake 3. AYon by a neck, with a nose separating second and third. Time 1.16 2-5.

For the concluding day of the Greymouth Jockey Clubs fixture, a light drizzle fell during the first four events, the track was holding. The attendance was good, and the totalisator handled £9632 as against £10,605 for the third day of last year, a total of £31,152, as against £33,472 10s last year.
