Metro-Ooldwyn’s mystery thriller goes the limit in providing unexpected situations and spine-tingling adventures. What is more, it has Lon Chaney playing the leading role. You know his remarkable disguises, bis work in “The Phantom of the Opera.’, Well, li« takes the part of the mad surgeon with most weird and disturbing ideas in this picture. Chaney at any time is a master of make-up. and in this particular lole lie is in his element. His suave and round-shouldered figure glides ghostlike through the passages of his grotesque sanitarium, scaring his unwilling guests aim st to death, and is the centre of a most enthralling and absorbing mvsterv.
The supporting east includes Johnny Arthur, Gertrude Ol instead and Hallnm Cooley. This MetroGoldwyn picture is based on the Crane Wilbur stage success
