CAPTAIN G. PREECE.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON N., This Day. Obituary: Captain Gorge Augustus Preece, N.Z.C., aged 80.
He was a well-known veteran of the Maori War, resident magistrate at Wairoa and Opotiki for twelve years, magistrate at Napier, and later at Christchurch.
He had been a resident of Palmerston North since 1892.
