QC A RTF,R LY MEETI NO. Rev. C. A. Foston presided over tlie quarterly meeting of the Methodist Circuit officials held in tlie parsonage last evening. Makomako, Mangamaire and local officers were present. 'I he financial statement showed that the circuit account was a few pounds in credit. Renovations to the parsonage building had been interrupted by the bad weather. Deep appreciation was expressed by the Chairman and brethren of the excellent services rendered as circuit junior steward, lay preacher, etc., by Mr M. Knight, who is leaving for Oanuiru. Good wishes were extended to him and Mrs Knight. Messrs J. J. lioagcy and O. Johnson were deputed "to'draft a suitable resolution of appreciation of Mr lvniglit’s services. Mr C. F. Gardner was elected a Society Steward. A lengthy report, was presented concerning the local Sunday School, and a number of matters introduced by the Superintendent' were referred to a meeting. Arrangements are in hand for an evangelistic campaign, shortly in Pall iatua, by’ the Rev. J. Southern, of \\ oodville, and it is hoped that the Rev. Mr Hooper will eventually spend a week at Makomako. Tim Maori Mission Party is to visit the circuit during September. A quantity of other business was transacted, and supjier, was dispensed by .Mrs Foston. who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
