SHIPBUILDING.
I,AS T QUARTER’S RETURNS Electric Telegraph—Press Association Copyright. (A ustralian-N. Z. Cable Association.) London, April 10 Lloyd’s Register quarterly shipbuilding returns show that after deducting 181,000 tons on which work has bean suspended!, the totals tonnage ♦being constructed in Great Tlritain a'nd Ireland is 1,311,000, which is 579,000 tons below the average of the year immediately before the war. The tonnage building abroad is 1,220,000, of which Germany and Danzig are building 343,000 tons; France, 209,000 tons; Italy, 185,000 tons; United States, 173,000 tons; Holland, 121,000 tons; Japan, 83.000 tons.
