The police. opposed bail, stating that several other charges respecting missing goods, would probably be preferred. The accused are mail contractors, with several cars. On Monday night, the police recognised a certain brand of tyre on Bacon's car. Next day, they arrested both men and a'search of their home disclosed a large quantity of missing goods, including bedding, household goods, motor and electrical equipment, and garden hose. The capture is considered the most important since the McMahon case a year ago.
