TUNNELLING MT. BLANC.

A scheme for tunnelling through Mt. Blanc has been decided upon, thus France and Italy directly. The project involves the building of 15 tunnels and 14 bridges, the largest tunnel being 14 kilometres. The route leaves Chamonnix Valley and descends towards Aosta, which will be the International station. It is expected that the work will occupy five years.
