SWIMMING CLUB.
TO-MORROW’S CARNIVAL
A iiu-cting of the committee of the Ruhiatua Swimming Club was held last evening. There was a very larg - attendance. The president (Mr J. A. Walsh) occupied the chair. A number of matters in connection with the carnival were dealt with and final arrangements made. The secretary reported that entries had been received from Wellington, Palmerston North. Dannevirke, and Woodville rand owing to the large number ft would he necessary for sonic of the principal events to be raced in heats. An up-to-date pro-ii-rammc has been arranged. for whinh a small charge will be made. The carnival will commence sharp at. I 30 jn.ni The patron of the Huh (Dr. H. T. Dawson) will present the various trophies and prizes to the winners at the conclusion of th • carnival.
