QUARTER LV MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Methodist Circuit officials, was held in the Pahiatua Church yesterday afternoon. Rev. T. R. Richards (Napier) chairman of the district, presided . Xt was resolved that a le titer of sympathy be l'or war fie d to Mr and Airs A. Gardiner and Airs A. Griffith, in their bereavement.. The harvest thanksgiving celebrations were fixed for Alarcli 19th and 21st.

Boa gey resigned the office of senior steward, which he has held for many years. This was received with deep regret. All* Alervvn Knight was elected to the position and Air A. J. Patchett was unanimously reappointed junior steward. Air AT. J. Foster was elected representative to the Conference in Dunedin, Air Knight being appointed substitute. As the Rev. A. Harding has been granted superannuation for a year, th© chairman paid a glowing tribute to Air Harding’s faithful and conscientious services. A motion of a(ppireeiation of the work of All* and Airs Harding was proposed by the circuit- stewards, and carried unanimously, it expressing good wishes, and trusting that Air Harding would speedily bo restored to Jiealth. Heartv votes of thanks were passed to the stewards for their past services, tjo Airs Hansen and Rev. Harding, for their reports oil Synod, to the chairman ; and to Airs O Johnson and Miss Jack, who dispensed ni'ternoo*! tea.
