BETTER PRICES FOR HALFBREDS. Christchurch, Last Night. Better prices lor good halt-bred* were a feature of tlprd wool sale which began this morning, offering one of the largest yet recorded. Selling was all round heavier than n,t th© December sale, Bradford firms operating freely. The catalogue totalled 21,784 bales. The best prices in th© first catalogues submitted were --per merino 16d to 18$d ; super half-bred. 14d to 17d; medium half-bred lid to 14d; inferior half-bred. lOd to 12$d; medium tliree-quarttr, 7d to lOd ; inferior three-quarter. 4d to (id; medium, crossbred 5d to 6|d ; inferior crossbred, 3d to 5d : half-bred pieces. 11 Jd to 12jd: second half-bred pieces, 9d to lljd; locks 3Jd to 7d; bellies and pieces, BJd.
