Mr Hughes lias received a cable from Mr Lloyd George a.sking for an assurance safeguarding 'manufacturers and consumers against exploitation in connection with the wool realisation scheme. Mr Hughes complied, and Mr Lloyd George then cabled the British Government-’ s approval of the scheme, which will take effect forthwith.
