DUE TO INTERNAL EXPLOSION.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, This Day The. Nautical Court, enquiring into the sinking of the Port Kembla, found that the vessel was loaded under conditions showing proper care for the safety of the vessel and the crew, and m the opinion of the Court the weight o: evidence showed that the explosion was internal due to the placing of a quantity of high explosives in the after part, not the lower or .tore hold or ’tween decks, and such act must have been deliberate and done with the intention of destroying the vessel an dthe crew- the tremendous force of the explosion and t w < v£' ent of . damage indicate that the quantity of explosives used was considerable, but. there is no definite evidence to guide the Court in determining its nature with any eer t ainty. -
