A man. who styled liimsed a -mall farmer endeavoured at the meeting of the Masterton branch ol the Farmers’ Fnion. to disprove the popular impression that the farmer is a small way is mak'ng money. He adduced numeous figures to back up his contention, and concluded his oration. which appeared to bore those present —by stating that it he had his way be would starve those people in town who were tor ever harping on the question oi the amount <>i jinoney made by small farmers.
