Later when he returned, the liquor was missing and presumably had been taken iu-side the residence. There were then two empty jars in the car On inquiry, defendant stat'd that the liquor was his and maintained this statement when interviewed lat Pr. The witness remarked that the quantity was somewhat large for a' visitor to take out and give away, but the Magistrate said this had to be proved otherwise. It was stated that defendant had given his address on the order as Pongaroa and the prosecutioij. contended that the addrfcses should have been Pahiatua. The Magistrate, however, said that if he was taking the liquor into the district for himself then it. was right, to address it to himself in that, district.
