Flags were flying at half mast and jockeys and officials wore arm bands as a mark of respect to the late secretary (Mr E. J. Gothard). The results are:— Kumeroa Hack: Ohiwai 1, Tiora 3, Merrie Poto 3. Scr.: Whisperer 9a,lind. Won by a length and a Time, lmin 1 4-ssec.
Hurdles:. Glenoechy 1. Arlington 2. Kauwairoa 3. All sturt.-d. Won by a head. Time, 2min. 53sec.
