Mr W. J. Palmer is visiting Wellington. M iss Dorset, of Wellington, is on a visit to Pahiatua. Mr L. A. Ward, formerly of Pahiatua, has eooepted a position on the Defence staff at Miasterton. Mr R. B. Roberston, chairman of the Akitio County Council, passed through Pahiatua to-day on his way to attend a patriotic conference : n 'Wellington. Messrs Collinson and Cunningha me, the big drapery firm of Palmerston North, have Miss Oruden in charge of one dressmaking room, and M iss Winton in charge of the other. With Mr A. Roe as buyer for the dress department patrons may rest assured of the very best and most satisfactory of service and treatment. Tea rooms are open daily for morning and afternoon tons and also cold luncheops.
