Mr J. Harrison has been elected president of the Chamber of Commerce at Eketahuna.
Mr H. Rose, of Woodville. has been ap|x>iuted acting-secretary of the \\ oodville Jockey Club during the illness of Mr E. J. Gothard (seeretatv). .
Private G. Hart, who took ill at the Featherston camp, was in hospital there and discharged, came on leave to this district, where he luas relatives. He. however, had another turn of sickness and is now m the infectious ward of the Pahiatua Hospital.
