The following forecast was issued by the Government Meteorologist (Mr D C. Bates) st, noon to-dav: The indications are for westerly moderate to strong and bucking by west to south, and prevailing winds; expect changeable and showery weather for short time. The barometer has a rising tendency, but falling after about 36 hours.
