FINDS FOR THE BUILDING

The financial question in connection with the Pongaroa Cottage Hospital was brought before the Akitio County Council last Saturday. The secretary of the Akitio County Queen Carnival Executive wrote stating that at a meeting of the executive the- previous day it was decided to recommend that the .sum of £.500 be advanced to the Pongaroa Cottage Hospital Association out of the Carnival funds, at 6 per rent, interest, the advance to bo repayable upon demand and the security to consist of a personal guarantee by Messrs AY. A. B irling. F. Herbert. A. C. Herbert, H R. Poole R B. Robertson, C. R. Burling, AY. Pickett, R. Martin and many other influential residents of the Akitio G’ountv. The Cottage Hospital Association made application for'tho. £SOO.
