WEATHER FORECAST.
The following forecast wne issued by the Government Meteorologist (Mr D. C. Bates) at noon to-day: The indications are for south-east-erly strong to gal«> prevailing; tin' weather will probably prove thick and foggy. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising shortly.
