RED CROSS DAY.
Saturday next. 23rd inst.. will lie observed in Paliiatua as Red Cross Day. In response to the Governor’s appeal many ladies are w orking, up a big gathering at the Trocadero buildings. from 10.30 a.m. to 11 p.m.. the ladies will dispense a variety of articles from numerous stalls ; the latter comprises produce, sweets fancy goods, flowers, cakes, etc.. in tacit. there will be everything from a turnip to a lolly. All who are willing to contribute produce or other g<xids are requested to communicate with tlie ladies’ committee.
