Hymettus and Sir Moseley led into the straight where the field closed up In the run home Sauci and Pariform drew out, and a great finish resulted in a dead heat with Sir Moseley two lengths away third, and Ringform fourth, close up. Also ran —Emperador, Ladoga, Sea Pink, Bleriot, Byron, Haskayne, Diavolo, Fair Rosamond, Haskayne led into the straight wheie the field was bunched. A furlong from home Expect and Mysteriarch forged to the front and a gruelling finish resulted in favour of the Highden horse by the smallest margin, with Moutoa Girl two lengths away, and Byron fourth.
