PRAISE FROM THE GOVERNOR. PR OH IBITED INTOXICA NTS. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Cambridge, Last Night. General Godley telegraphs that he has much pleasure in forwarding a message received from His Excellency the Governor, which should be conveyed to the troops and published. Tlie Governor was' very pleased with the appearance and steadiness of all ranks at parade for the presentation of colours last Sunday, more especially in view of the inclement weather the previous day. His Excellency wished particularly to congratulate the officer commanding the Auckland district and staff on the admirable arrangement that had been made, which insured the success achieved. Before Justices this morning a territorial was fined 30s and costs 14s for bringing intoxicants into the camp, and he was cautioned that a heavier penalty would bo imposed next time.
