WITH THE HOUNDS.
HUNT AT MANGAMUTU. Members of the Woodlands Hunt and their friends spent a pleasant afternoon yesterday. The run took place over the properties of Messrs 1). O’Brien, Gilbert and McFarlahe, at Mangamutii. The followers were: —Messrs S. Hirst, Huntsman (on Black Arrow), G. Cole, Master (on Sloppy Sam), G. Main (Rangi), A. ('realm (Royal .Maid), J. Qujrke. who laid the drag (Tyrannic) Wallis (Bonny Girl). J. Egan (Avon), E. Forster (Black Brush), Mrs C'haytor (Doctor), .Miss Bcnnison (Silver Blaze), Mrs. Hirst (Play Boy). The spectators included Messrs N. Avery, McCarrfle, Rohinson, Vincent, McXicol, Falconer, Thomas, Lahey, Hughes. Whiblev, Webb, Johnston. Misses Morton (2), Woods, and Wilson. At the conclusion of the run, flic huntsmen were entertained to afternoon tea h\ Mr and Mrs Gilbert and family. The Deputy-Master (Mr Cole) proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr and Mrs Gilbert, to the proper-tv-owners, aml lady riders. Mr Cole also a|M>logi,x<sl for the absence of the Master (Mr S. V. Rodney). •
