SHIP AFIRE AT SEA
SURVIVORS PICKED UP. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Copyright Halifax, Last Night. Thirteen survivors of the British steamer Columbia, from Antwerp to New York, which took afire at sea on Sunday, were picked up by the Cunard liner Franconia. Seventeen are adrift in a boat. Captain McDonald and thirteen of the crew of the steamer Columbia were saved by the steamer Manhattan, ao cording to a wireless message received at the Marconi station.
