SYDNEY BAKERS’ DISPUTE. MEDIATION FAILS. A COMPULSORY CONFERENCE. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Copyright, (Received this day at 9.5 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. The Government's attempts at mediation in the bakers’ dispute failed. The Union claims that they have thirty-six shops prepared to bake on Sunday. A compulsory conference under the Industrial Act has been called. In the event of a strike the State bakery will increase the output.
