Bell showed to considerable advantage in the early rounds, and was the aggressor to the eighth. Jeannette then threw off caution and forced the fighting. The exchanges in the ninth round were fast and fairly even. Jeannette, in the eleventh, got right and left to the head, with telling effect. Jeannette landed hard in the thirteenth round, and later repeatedly hooked Bell to the body. The Australian’s speed remained undiminished.
