GENERAL HUERTA DESERTED. CARRANZA TO BE IGNORED. ZAPATA OUT ON HIS OWN. Electric Telegraph—Press Ass .elation CopyrightWashington, Last Night. Huerta's position is reported to be desperate. The troops hitherto loyal are believed to he deserting him. War Minister Blanquet quarrelled with Huerta, who is now doubtful upon whom to rely. Rabosa and Senator Garza were appointed delegates by Huerta to confer at Washington with the South American mediators. The mediators refused to recognise Carranza in view of his refusal to suspend hostilities against Huerta, pending mediation. Carranza is likely to create trouble on the Northern border against Americans as it is notorious that he was counting largely on American sympathy to further his plans against Huerta. Zapata has issued a proclamation announcing bis intention to attack Mainco City as soon as possible. He condemns Huerta and Blanquet to death if captured. Zapata arrested members of the Federal Committee who were sent to ask Zapata to join them against the Americans. It is probable that the Alediation Conference will he held at Montreal. It is uderstood that the flag incident will form the first question. VERA CRUZ WATERWORKS. DEMAND FOR SURRENDER. Washington, Last Night.
