GIRL DISAPPEARS.
A MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Sydney, Last Night. The mysterious disappearance of a girl named Mona West, twenty-one years of age, is causing comment. The girl belonged to Goulbourn and had been residing on holiday with her unde, Dr. O’Hara, of Bayewater-road, Dai linghurst, Sydney. She intended to return home on sth November, and went out that morning to do shopping in the city, saying die would return in time for lunch. That was the last seen
of hor. Shortly after her disappearance her parents received a letter in disguised handwriting saying that she had been murdered. Foul play is suspected, though no motive for such a crime is known. She was always bright and happy, had hosts of friends and was universally admired and respected.
