KUMEROA.
(From Our Own Correspondent). The Kumeroa creamery had a bad run on Wednesday morning. First the sldm-milk pump refused to work. Then the milk pipe choked, and to finish, some of tho belts started to slip. During the long wait that ensued the suppliers secured an accordeon and enlivened proceedings with selections and songs. It was about .12.30 before the last cart started for home. Mr Pritchard, our genial manager, has everything in good order now. Last week an old boiler was fixed up to work the pasteuriser. Mr Parkes’ traction engine is oarting the wool from Kumeroa this year. The first load of 30 bales went out on Monday'. The traction is also being used to bring in the timber for Mr Dun,lord’s new house. The traction’s first visit to Kumeroa was rather sensational. The coach horses got frightened when overtaking it and plunged violently, breaking the pole. The coach came homo in style behind Mi’ Pritchard's brake. Nearing Kumeroa tho engine broke down and had to lie left on the side of the road all night.
