Entries for Piping and Dance will be received on the ground. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Events run under rules of New Zealand Athletic Union. Permits may be obtained from Mr W. Gillespie, Muster to n, or from the Secretary. Winners will be required to produce licenses before the prize money is paid out. No nomination will bo accepted on any account without the proper entrance fee. Nominations for 1,4, 5, 6. 7,8, 9, 10, and I 1 close with the Secretary (Mr 1). \V. Wilton) at Pahiatua on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th, at 8 p.m. NOMINATIONS MUST be accompanied by cash or postal notes. All performances foi the past two years must bo given. If no wins for two years, four last performances must be given. I Handicaps will appear in the PaI hiatua Herald on MONDAY, DECEMBER 16th. Acceptances for events mentioned and entrance for others close on the ground 20 minutes before the race. Protests must bo made in writing to the Secretary, or the Judge or Judges, within fifteen minutes after the race in dispute, together with a deposit of 5 per cent, of the amount of stako (minimum 6s), which shall bo forfeited if the protest be found to be frivolous or vexatious. In Field Events and Piping and Dancing Competitions, the last to enter to compete first. The Committee reserve the right to postpone the mooting from day to day should the weather prove unfavourable. No first prize unless three starters; no second prize unless five starters; no third prize unlives six starters.
