Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Cha«rles Cress. the well-known jockey, died in the hospital this morning from ptomaine |>oisoiiing. William Lurch, a young man employed at Aulsobrook ’.s biscuit factory, was killed by bring caught in the, belt of an engine. He was whirled round the pulley and terribly injured. Dunedin, Last Night. Th© body of Patrick Coaklev. 92 years of age, and an inmate of mental asylum at Waitaki, who wandered therefrom on September 21, has been found in the bush two miles away from the institution.
