A meeting of the Seamen's Union endorsed the strike. A wire from file Sydney Seamen’s and Firemen’s Union advised the men to resume, but they declined until the steward is removed. A BIG LOSS. Melbourne, This Day. Though the Alt. Lyell miners have signed an agreement the engine-driv-ers have not done so, but it is expected they will sign to-day. During the strike the men lost £35,000 in wages.
