The New York street cleaners are also striking against the collection of garbage at night. Fremantle, This Day. Ninety employees at Hudson’s waggon works struck for an advance of a shilling a day. OBJECTION TO A STEWARD. Fremantle, This Day. Thirty seamen and firemen on the steamer Koombana refused duty, demanding that the chief steward leave the ship. A meeting of the Seamen's Union endorsed the strike. A wire from file Sydney Seamen’s and Firemen’s Union advised the men to resume, but they declined until the steward is removed. A BIG LOSS. Melbourne, This Day. Though the Alt. Lyell miners have signed an agreement the engine-driv-ers have not done so, but it is expected they will sign to-day. During the strike the men lost £35,000 in wages.

The coal owners’ representative on the Coal Conciliation Board of England and North Wales lias agreed to tlie principle of the minimum wage, which has been referred to local districts to report on December 6.
