RIFLE SHOOTING.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Alay 3. In a recent speech at a Rifle Club social Colonel Collins said that great: changes had taken place in shooting, and we would have to tall in line with other nations and go in tor musketry training with disappearing targets at unknown ranges. He had great regard for the old olack and white target, but further opposition to new ideas was not desirable in the interests of rifle shooting. This would mean a change in tne policy ot the Rifle Association, anu naturally an alteration in company and rifle club shooting. Both volunteers and clubs, therefore, will be well advised to adopt the services matches ior ordinary competition to the new conditions in view of changes that may be expected at the big meeting.
