Fleven hundred bootmakers on strike at Raon-l’Etnpe, while marching in |.recession through the si roots commenced rioting, when the police tried to prevent them junctioning, in pursuance of an invitation, with a I‘a per .Makers’ Trades Union demount rat ion. Several troopers were unhorsed and the captain of the gendarmerie was severely injured. One of the strikers was killed.
