THE WELLINGTON ROBBERIES
ARREST OF ALLEGED PER TRATORS.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. July 28. The 'Wellington detectives yesterday apprehended lour men on suspicion of being the perpetrators of the recent robberies, including jewellery and money to the value of £IOO, from the residence of Air George Fitzgerald : jewellery and money, totalling £l5O in value, from Air T. G. McCarthy's house; silvti watch from Airs Hannah Watson’s; and jewellery valued at £l(3 from the Alasonie Hotel. Wellington. The names of the accused are: Cyril Cosgrove, alias Furlong, Ge-rge Ferris. William Robert Sinclair and John Hamilton. Cosgrove arrived recently from Tasmania, and the ether three from South Africa. Hamilton and Sinclair wore taken in their lodgings, where detectives were concealed in a wardrobe. Hamilton was in jxissessiou ot a leaded A revolver.
