NAPIER WOOL AND SKIN SALE
Wenley and Lanauze, Ltd., report as follows:—We held our usual periodical sale of wool, sheepskins, bides, etc., in Messrs C. B. Hoadley and Co.’s rooms on Wednesday afternoon, when a good number of local and Wellington buyers attended. Competition was not so keen as recently, probably owing to the discouraging reports from the London market, and prices for inferior quality wool ai.d skins suffered a decline ot id to jd per lb. A tew lots of well looked after prime conditioned skins brought advances on prices offered at last sale. Hides and fat sold on a level with prices lately ruling. We quote: Stragglers’ fleece, seedy 7jd. crutchings fairly clean to 6|d. heavy and dirty -xl to Ixl. well saved crossbred skins “id to Bd, inferior conditioned 6d to 7d, damaged 4d to tjd. Hides: Heavy ox ofd, medium od, light 4jd; cow . medium to heavy od. light 4id to 4Jd. yearlings 4fd to ofd. according t<o condition. Rendered fat 2|d per lb. Our next sale will be held on Wednesday. 14th August. 1907. LONDON WOOL SALES. # Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., have received the following cable trom Loudon under yesterday's date. The market has closed firm, with strong demand for all descriptions of superior wools, but ter inferior wools the market is weak. Opening prices are unchanged.
