At tlie Hawke’s Bay Kennel and Poultry Club's annual show, which opened here tolday, the North Island championship for partridge Wyanwent to an adult cock shown by R. J. Chapman, of Carterton. The championship for homer pigeons went to T. Bnlliek, of Hastings. Napier, July 23. Tin Hawke's Bay Kennel and Poultry Club's annual -how was opened today. There is a splendid show of dog-—one of the best that has been seen in the colony. In rough-coated collies J. G. In smooth-coated fox-terriers, W. ■smith's Napier Snowdrop won the l.allenge shield for the best foxtfrrier t either sex, and P. J. AlcShane.'s Zetland Bob the trophy for the best of the male sex. The'trophy for best wire-haired foxterrier was won by J. Jamieson’s imported dog Coltesmere Admiral. J \V. Spence's Akarana Astonished and J.
