CHARGES OF FORGERY.

Auckland, July A tall, delicate looking man named William Anderson, with a number of aliases, was charged at tbe Police Court with forging and uttering several cheques on various tradespeople in town. Accused, who pleaded guilty, gave no explanation as to why lie perpetrated tin* forgeries, involving altogether some £5 or £O. He was convicted, and was about to bo committed for sentence, when b<* fainted, and bad to be removed hum the court, tic was brought back into Court later, and duly committed. Edgar Hudson was charged with forging a cheque* for £4 on the Hank •it New South Wales, and also with obtaining £2 Iroin Edward McGinley liv means of a valueless cheque.
