Mr Chapman and Sir Joseph Ward discussed the Pacific Board arrangement to remove existing difficulties and achieve economies, and place matters on a more satisfactory footing. with a view to securing larger business. Mr Reynolds will await Mr Chapman's return to Australia. The board resolved to dispense with coloured labour on their vessels. Mr Chapman discussed with Mr Marconi's manager the question of establishing communication between Queenscliff and Tasmania. They also received overtures from the international and German companies. Sir Joseph Ward inspects the international system while in America. CANADIAN MINISTERIAL CHANGES. Ottawa, June 1. Mr Fitzpatrick. Canadian Minister for Justice, has been appointed Chief Justice of Canada. Mr Aylesworth succeeds him in the Cabinet, while Mr I .emieux becomes Postmaster-Gen-eral.
