Owing to Monday being a holiday the Starr-Bowkett Building Society subscription night will be changed to Tuesday Those interested in the formation of a school of physical culture in Pahiatua will he pleased to learn that satisfactory arrangements have been made n Wellington to secure the services of a resident instructor. The second of a series of dances will be held in the Kaitawa Hall on Wednesday evening next, under the auspices of the Kaitawa flail Committee. The committee has engaged Messrs. Jennings, -Mills and Boyncs, to supply the dance music, which in itself should he sufficient to attract a iaga gathering. At a meeting of parishioners in St. Peter’s schoolroom! last evening it was decided to hold a tea meeting in connection with the church on \\ ednesday, 4th July. All the ladies present were appointed a committee to carry out the necessary details. Bishop Wallis will visit Paliiatua on Thursday, 28th inst., and a confirmation service will take place at St. Peter's Church the same evening. On the following day (St. Peter’s Day) the church will be consecrated, and services will be held both morning and evening. On Saturday, 30th inst.. the consecration of St. James Church, Konini, will take place. On Monday next, the post-office will be closed, and all mails usually despatched on Mondays, will be closed ai 8 a.m. (town boxes cleared at 7.45 a.m.) There will be a delivery ol letters over the counter the previous Saturday evening from 7 to 8 o’clock. On Monday the telegraph office will be open from 0 to 10 a.m. only, and the telephone exchange from 8 to 10 a.m. only.
