Ministers to-day completed a scheme for combining irrigation with wheat-growing along tho Murray River frontages. Homesteads will he granted along the river front, of about forty acres in extent, twenty of which will he irrigated. Eaeli homestead will have additions of lour hundred acres of inferior land. The charge for irrigation water will not exceed fifteen gallons per acre per annum.
