PRONOUNCED GUILTY OF VIOLATING THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Melbourne, May 2S. A meeting held in Zion Hall last night the Rev. J. S. McCullagh moved the following resolution: “Whereas John Alexander Dowie, of Zion City, has been found guilty of the violation of every one of the Ten Commandments, and whereas the overseers of Zion City have found him guilty of hypocrisy, criminal extravagance, embezzlement, misrepresentation. tyranny, and dastardly contempt for the sufferings of those he professed to regard, and of hi blasphemous claim to divide authority to cloak his villainies. there£pre it is resolved that we. the members of the Christian Catholic Apostolic Church of Zion in Melbourne renounce his leadership for ever, and dissociate ourselves absolutely from his personal or his delegated authority. Further, that we support the Rev. J. S. McCullagh in laying these facts before the people of Australasia, and that we will further support him in his attempt to secure for Australasian investors in Zion City their just dues.” Deacon Smith rose and tried to speak.
