At the Championship Swimming Meeting the big fixtures yesterday were the 220 yards and half mile championships of Australasia. In the former F. Lane, of Sydney, defeated F. Gaihy. oi Queensland, and M. Champion, of "Yllfixl-ii. in 2 mill 38 secs. <• 1 , ' 11 secs behind. Cb.jinpiongno up. Lane’s time is it 1-5 sees behind the world'record. In the half-mile, R. Caviil, of Sydney, beat G. Read, of Sydney, and A. Hayward, o'' Wanganui. Hayward gave ,',p early.
