Washington, February 21. Senator Jonn L. McLiunn, of South Carolina, during the cour - of a debate, called Senator Benjamin Tillman, representative of the same state, a “ liar." A sharp bout of fisticuffs ensue 1. The combatants were parted with difficulty, the ber-geant-at-Arms arresting both. Subsequently apologies were mad< and the disputants were released. Athens, February 2i.
M. Trtcoupis, a member of the Chamber, declaring that M. Daud juris, ex President of tbe Chamber had insulted the memory of M. Tricoup.3 the late Premier, struck M. Doudouris, in tbe looby. M. Doudourn snatched an officer's sword and vainly tried to stab M. Tnooupis.
