The weather was favourable, but one of the courts was far from satisfactory. Tho games were closely contested throughout and the excitement at the finish was intense. Whan tho points wore added up it was found that IV.hiatua had won by one point only. Choice refreshments with afternoon tea wi re supplied by Mrs Carnes.
