Roseberry and Bannerman.
Outside His Political Tabernacle.
London, February £3. Lord Roseberry in a letter says ; '* Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman at Leicester anath-matised my declaration of a clean slate in regard to the Home Rule. Our views on war methods are not less discordant. I remain therefore outside his political tabernacle, but not. I think m solitude, as the moment of definite separation.” Lord Eoseberrv cats he recognises Sir Henry CimpbeilBannerman's honest and well intended devotion to the Liberal party.
The 1 :mc- says the rupure between Roseberry and Bannerman is complete. Roseberry must untiringly pursue his policy of reconstruction of his party.
