Lieutenant-Colonel Picquart has asked the Court of Cassation to decide whether he is amenable to the civil or military jurisdiction. Public indignation is growing. The Royalist party is greatly divided on the question. M. de Freycinet hopes that the court-martial inquiry into Picquart's conduct will spontaneously adjourn. The persecution now shown is attributed to Picquart having stopped p lnent of secret funds to the army ofli. ’rs for pseudo espionage. Received this day, 9.5 a.m. Paris, December 6. The disclosures before the Court of Cassation indicate that Colonel Henry held secrets in connection with the Dreyfus case, and shared the profits with Esterhazv.
