PAHIATUA RACING CLUB.
Committee Meeting
A full committee meeting of the Club was held at the Club Hotel last evening, when the final business was completed for the forthcoming race meeting. It was decided that all privileges in connection with the forthcoming race meeting, with tho exception of the lawn, grandstand and saddling paddock, bo sold by auction. Prices of admission were fixed as follows :To courso : pedestrians, Is; horsemen, 13 ; vehicles, 2s Gd. To lawn ami grandstand : gentlemen, ss; ladies, 2s Gd; children under 12 I with their parents) admitted free. It was decided to wire net the saddling paddock and lawn. Mr Quinlan offered, on behalf of Mr fl. Carlson, to supply all timber for flooring on exceptionally easy term?.—The offer was accepted. The following officers were then elected for race day :—Clerk of the scales steward, Mr 1). Knight; secretarysteward, Mr A. Stewart; saddling paddock stewards, Messrs McFarlane, A. Yule, and C. Avery; course stewards, Messrs J. McCarthy, R. Seymour and Dr Gault; judge steward. Mr Tosswill; time-keeper, Mr Mclfain. Messrs Quinlan, Atliy and Hawke were elected members of the Club. The offer of tho Pahiatua Band (guaranteed 15 performers in uniform) was accepted.
