The total number for each candidate is shewn on the dial and the result is known at once. Mr Ellis claims for his invention absolute secrecy and great saving of time and cost. Ho has spent five years in elaborating the machine and guarding against every contingency that can arise. The apparatus is to he shown in the lobby of the House to members to day.
